The ship’s construction was delayed slightly, as was the later maiden voyage, but the ship finally launched in 1998. Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That's precisely why you'll find a course on every Carnival ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds...
it’s a small world nursery!
Jogging may not immediately come to mind when you think of things to do at sea, but it probably should. You don’t have to walk on water, you just have to get on a Carnival cruise. After all, if you’re going to jog, you’d be hard-pressed to find a place to do it with a more scenic view, or a more refreshing breeze — both of these are available in abundance when you go for an open-air jog on the upper-deck. Jogging tracks are available on all Carnival ships, and are even padded for long-distance comfort. Oh, you know, a little of this, a little of that… and really, a lot of fun.
Youth Clubs
Even these fancier nights lean more toward the casual side, with many women dressed in summer or maxi-dresses as opposed to long, formal ones. Swimwear and tank tops are not allowed in the restaurants at dinner, but shorts and jeans are permitted. On short cruises, there will be one "optional dress up" night, which is generally semiformal. Men are suggested to wear a tie and women, a dress or a pantsuit. On a seven-night cruise, there will be one "formal" night in addition to a semiformal night. The clothing requirements are actually the same for both formal and semiformal nights; the biggest difference is on formal night when the characters also dress up for photos.

Enjoy high-tech entertainment on an immense LED screen at the interactive theater. Magical evenings will also take you to a comedy club, a piano bar, a place to listen to jazz, a casino, disco and more.

(On Lido deck 10) were added 2 new poolside eateries (both complimentary) – Guy’s Burger Joint (fast-food bar) and Bluelguana Cantina (Mexican eatery). Other new venues on Lido deck are BlueIguana Tequila Bar (Mexican-themed outdoor bar for frozens and beers) and the Pizzeria del Capitano (complimentary). Follows the complete list of Carnival Magic lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens, and adults. Learn about Carnival Cruise Lines' handicap accessible cruises and accommodations for guests with special needs or disabilities - including special staterooms, accessible elevators, dietary accommodations and more. Without all the pay-to-enjoy distractions, my family went to more of the gameshows, spent more time at the pools or reading on the balcony and even watched the baby crawling races, which sound bizarre but are very entertaining. I enjoyed listening to a few songs in Keys after dinner a few nights.

One major difference between Disney Cruise dining and other cruise lines is that most non-alcoholic drinks are included at no additional cost — no need to purchase a separate drink package! Located near the pool, this soda station offers unlimited refills all day long. The flagship dining experience on the first four Disney ships (including Disney Magic), Animator’s Palate offers a fan-favorite menu along with a taste of the magic of animation. Like all Disney Cruise Ships, the Disney Magic offers rotational dining during the nightly dinner service. This Disney Cruise Line innovation pre-schedules you to visit a different restaurant on each night of the cruise. You’ll have the same waitstaff each night, so they’ll get to know you and your food preferences.

(On Promenade deck 5) was added the Alchemy Bar (cocktail pharmacy with resident mixologists). Also here, the Lanai Oceanside Barbeque was replaced by the new fast-food bar named “Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse”. The bar is complimentary and via a partnership with Guy Fieri (running also the “Guy’s Burger Joint” on Lido deck).

A Cloud 9 Spa Suite is the ultimate in both stateroom and spa accommodations. There's room for you and your things - with a large room and balcony - and a walk-in closet. The soothing in-room whirlpool tub will help you stay relaxed after your relaxing spa treatment. And like all suites, a Cloud 9 Spa Suite features VIP check-in, which lets you easily get right up to your amazing stateroom. Activities, too, are designed for a wide range of interests – and there are lots of things to do on Carnival Magic.
The Twist 'n' Spout slide by the AquaLab was the favorite spot for my 7-year-old. This is the only restaurant on Disney Magic where food costs extra, but the cost is reasonable for what you get. The essentially all-you-want-to-enjoy brunch costs $45 with can't-miss items such as chicken Parmesan, wild mushroom ravioli, a seafood antipasti plate and chocolate souffle, along with flatbreads, omelets, waffles and more. Otherwise, it's just a large restaurant that gives off major art deco vibes.
However, this is one meal you'll want to book as far out as possible as it's popular and has limited seating. When Carnival Magic appeared on the scene in 2011, the cruise industry sat up and took notice. Category 3 staterooms are the last category to include concierge service.
And for some truly tasty and unique libations, visit Alchemy Bar™ and sample some vintage cocktails or let the bartender make a special creation just for you. And, of course, there is also SportSquare™, an outdoor recreation area with plenty more athletic activities as well as a fitness area so you never have to miss a good workout. The base accommodations are Inside Staterooms, which feature a classic nautical motif, porthole mirror, and no exterior view. Your cruise won’t cost a penny more than if you’d booked it yourself — and it might even cost less! As a matter of fact, one of the many reasons to book with a Disney travel agent is their excellent knowledge of all the latest discounts. But what happened after the end of the Disney classic Cinderella?
